Georgia Jara Valencia, 88, of Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2017 in Gallipolis. She was born February 22, 1928 in Iloilo City, Phillipines, daughter of the late Marcelo and Consuelo Jara Obregon. Georgia married Willie G. Valencia Sr. and he preceded her in death. She was retired from Mason County Schools as a Pt. Pleasant Junior High teacher. Georgia was a member of First Baptist Church, Gallipolis. Surviving are her son, daughters, sons-in-law, and grandchildren, Cyllene Valencia, Larky and Kambiz Molkara, children Roshanak and Kamran Molkara, Willie Valencia, Lani Kai Brooks, children Ehren and Tara Cox, Jully and Chip Patterson, children, Morgan Muszall and Kaity McCormick, Grace Valencia, her daughter, Destiny Brown, Mercy Angel and children, Tiffany Ramseur, Brittany Willet and Courttany Willet, Nichole and Steven Rice and children, Ariana and Chase Rice; seven great grandchildren; three brothers and one sister. In addition to her parents and husband, Georgia was preceded in death by one brother. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Alvis Pollard officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the church. Pallbearers will be Kamran Molkara, Ehren Cox, Kambiz Molkara, Steven Rice, Chip Patterson and Sam Martin. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Georgia's memory to Ohio Valley Christian School, 1100 Fourth Avenue, Gallipolis, OH 45631.
