Gerald "Jerry" Langhorne

Gerald Jerry Langhorne, 71, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2010 at his residence. He was born February 3, 1939 in Bidwell, son of the late Theodore P. and Jean McKenzie Langhorne. Jerry served in the U.S. Army and was retired from Federal Mogul where he worked as an operator. He was a member of Moose Lodge #731 in Pt. Pleasant, WV and enjoyed fishing. Surviving are his daughters, Deborah (Mark) Long of Powell, Ohio and Sherrie (Keith) Doughty of Gahanna, Ohio; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Velva) Langhorne and Douglas (Barbara) Langhorne, both of Gallipolis; two nieces and one nephew; and many friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Lois Jean Langhorne, a brother John C. Langhorne and a sister in infancy Phyllis Jean Langhorne. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 23, 2010 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Entombment will be at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Chapel of Hope Mausoleum.
