Gladys Opalene Darst

Gladys Opalene Darst, 84, of Gallipolis, went to be with Jesus on December 13, 2005 at Pleasant Valley Hospital, Point Pleasant, West Virginia. She was born on August 25, 1921 to the late Howard and Lura Bush Carr. She married Pearl Darst on January 9, 1939 and he preceded her in death. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and was a homemaker. She is survived by three daughters, Beatrice Grimm of Point Pleasant, WV, Amanda Darst and Kay Wright, both of Gallipolis; one son, Ray Teresa Darst of Albany, Ohio; one granddaughter, Kaye Grimm of Point Pleasant, WV. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents, her husband, Pearl Darst in 1985 and one daughter, Nina Mae, in infancy. Services will be on Friday, December 16, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, December 15, 2005 from 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Mrs. Darst’s memory to the Youth Department of First Church of the Nazarene of Gallipolis.
