Glendon Elliott

Glendon Elliott, 75, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. He was born March 13, 1940 in Gallia County, Ohio, son of the late Arthur R. and Josephine L. Wood Elliott. He was a 1958 GAHS graduate. Glendon was married to Patricia L. Johnson and she survives him. He retired from the Bob Evans Restaurant Division as an Area Director after 34 years of service. Glendon was the very 1st Bob Evans Farms Restaurant Manager of the Year. Prior to his work in the restaurant division, he worked for 4 years in the Bob Evans Sausage Division, Bidwell plant as the grinder and opened the Hillsdale, MI plant and worked at Goodyear also. He enjoyed raising market steers and watching his family show them. Glendon had a passion for golfing and enjoyed people. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Patricia L. Elliott of Gallipolis; a son, Scott Elliott of Gallipolis; a daughter, Kelli Elliott (Airman Staff Sgt. Michael) Martinez of Andrews Air Force Base; 5 grandchildren, Jason (Christina) Franks, David (Bethany) Stanley, Sarah (Chad) Frazier, Kaleah Conner and M.J. Martinez; 8 great grandchildren; one brother, Eugene (Evelyn) Elliott of Gallipolis; and a sister, Carolyn (Larry) Harrison of Grove City. In addition to his parents, Glendon was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Lynn Elliott Ludy in 2012 and a stillborn brother. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Willis Funeral Home with Jane Ann Miller officiating. Burial will follow in CM Cemetery, Oak Hill, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Adrian Bud Haner, Lawrence Tawney, David Smith, Jerry Haffelt, Jim Baughman and Bobby Foster.
