Glenn T. Marr

Glenn T. Marr, 89, of Patriot, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at Scenic Hills Nursing Center. He was born on April 22, 1916 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late William and Mary Anne Buchan Marr. He was married to Carrie Mae Notter Marr who preceded him in death on May 20, 1989. Glenn was a retired superintendent of bridge construction for W.E. Engle Co. of McArthur, Ohio. He was a member of Walnut Ridge Church. Surviving are a daughter, Beverly Watson of Patriot; two sons, Larry G. Karen Marr of Gallipolis and L. Edward Paula Marr of Canal Winchester, Ohio; a son-in-law, Donald Barlow of Patriot; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Carrie Marr, two daughters, Joy Barlow and Kathy Lynn Marr in infancy, and three brothers, Duthie, Douglas and William Marr. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2005 at the Willis Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2005. Pallbearers will be Chris Marr, Jason Matney, Neil Watson, Curt Elliott, Joe Bill Bond, Greg Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Irvin Lyall, Donald Barlow, Gene Engle, James Allen, Orlyn Wallace, and Homer Holley.
