Goldie Marie Shriver

Goldie Marie Shriver, 80, of Patriot, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 15, 2006 at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus, OH. She was born on February 27, 1926 in Gallia County, Ohio to the late John and Mary Belle Waugh Smith. She was married to John Shriver, who preceded her in death on September 28, 1997. She was a member of the Ohio Operating Engineers. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Rucker of Columbus and Marsha Mike Scott of Reynoldsburg; three sons, John H. Roberta Shriver of Patriot, Ed Jeanette Shriver of Thurman, and Frank Stephanie Shriver of Patriot; sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; two sisters, Mabel George Roush of Gallipolis and Pluma Call of Crown City; one brother, John Robert Martha Smith of Gallipolis; a sister-in-law, Bea Smith of South Bloomfield. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband John Shriver, a son Howard Shriver, a son-in-law Larry Rucker, two great grandsons, a sister Mary Reeves and a brother Raymond Smith. Services will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday September 19, 2006 at the Willis Funeral Home with Jane Ann Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the Willis Funeral Home on Monday, September 18, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
