Gordon Eugene Lambert

Gordon Eugene Lambert went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 6, 2010 at the Veterans Hospital in Hampton, Virginia. Gordon was born July 10, 1942 in Addison, Ohio, son of the late Robert and Garnet Lambert. He served six years in the U.S. Air Force and three years in the Army National Guard. He was employed at Moores Auto Repair, Newport News, Virginia. Gordon was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved going hunting. He was a member of Bethel Temple in Hampton, Virginia where he served as an usher and service leader. He is preceded in death by two granddaughters, Payton and Ryleigh Lambert. He leaves behind a family that will cherish the memories they had with him. He leaves his wife of 27 years, Nola Lambert; two daughters, Rachel A. Wright and her husband James of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Elizabeth Lambert of Newport News, Virginia; one son, David Lambert of Hampton, Virginia; three grandsons, Caleb and Ivan Wright of Virginia Beach, David Jr. of Hampton; four granddaughters, Kirsten and Morgan Wright of Virginia Beach, Taylor Lambert of Hampton, and Lily Lambert of Newport News; and two brothers, Keith Lambert of Newport News, and James Lambert of North Carolina. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 11, 2010 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Bynum officiating. Burial will follow in Wells Cemetery, Harrisonville, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. There will be a flag presentation by members of area veterans lodges.
