Harold Dean Dillon

Harold Dean Dillon, 83, of Pt. Pleasant, WV, formerly of Crown City, OH, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Pleasant Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born July 5, 1933 in Miller, Ohio, son of the late Kirtley and Josephine Meeks Dillon. Harold is also preceded in death by his first wife, Ellen White Dillon and his second wife, Frances Green Dillon, two sons, Harold Eugene Dillon and Charles Duane Dillon, two sons-in-law, Lewis Dailey and Sammie John Walters, one grandson, one great grandson, one great granddaughter, one brother, Clyde Dillon and two sisters, Wilma Lee “Billy” Dillon and Sarah Katherine “Katie” Delay. Harold retired from Gallipolis Developmental Center and was also a farmer. He was a lifelong member of DAV of Cheshire, Ohio, a member of the VFW Posts of both Gallipolis and Point Pleasant, WV, and also attended Canaan Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are five daughters, Linda Lee Walters (companion Eddie Butler) of Crown City, Ohio, Patsy Dailey of Pt. Pleasant, WV, Pamela Sue (Charles) Strother of Bazoria, Texas, Lisa Nelson of Vinton, Ohio, Faith (Dennis) Rundle of Columbus, Wisconsin; 11 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren; sister, Lucy Pawley of Columbus, Ohio and a brother, Jimmy Dillon of Gallipolis, Ohio; many nieces, nephews and friends. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Willis Funeral Home. Visitation will be 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will follow at Victory Cemetery, Crown City, Ohio. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. There will be military services at the graveside by the VFW Funeral Honor Guard.
