Helen Mae Russell

Helen Mae Russell, 81, of Patriot, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2005 at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on April 18, 1924 in Peytona, West Virginia to the late Thomas and Mary Cobb Carson. She was preceded in death by two husbands, James Peyatt and Raymond Russell. Helen was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. Surviving are three daughters, Patty Mike Williams of Patriot, Peggy Billy Hatfield of Cincinnati, Sharon Jerry Erwin of Bidwell; two stepsons, Gary Russell and Eugene Russell, both of Charleston, WV; two stepdaughters, Linda Russell and Patty Russell, both of Charleston, WV; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, James Peyatt and Raymond Russell, a daughter, Susan Stanley and a sister, Gladys Graley. Services will be on Monday, November 21, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Nolan D. Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, November 20, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Dennis Graley, Doug Graley, Greg Hill, Chuck Hatfield, David Hill and Tommy Hill.
