Henry P. Cook

Henry P. Cook, 79, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Abbyshire Place in Bidwell, Ohio. He was born on July 27, 1939 in Knott County, Kentucky, son of the late Dewey and Martha Fouts Cook. Henry was an Iron Worker having worked at Malleable Iron in Mason County, West Virginia. He was married to Janice Cook and she preceded in death on May 13, 2017. Henry was also preceded in death by a daughter Inis Irene Siders and by several sisters and brothers. He is survived by three daughters Debbie McAllister, Teresa Dovenbarger (Jeremy Carroll), and Cheree Hunt (Dale Johnston) all of Gallipolis, and by two sons Phillip Junior Cook and James Russell (Clovia) Cook both of Gallipolis, 9 grandchildren, Tiffany (Phillip) Dunlap, Austin Dovenbarger, (Mindy Greathouse), Corey (Jessica) Dovenbarger, Joshua Hunt (Samantha Sheets), D.J. Hunt (Holly Saxton), Justin (Noelle) Hunt, Jessica Cook, Janetta McAllister and David Cook, and 18 great grandchildren; two sisters Mary Little of Knott County, Kentucky and Lula Birchfield of Tennessee. The funeral for Henry will be 1 pm Wednesday March 20, 2019 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor David Beaver officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery.
