Jack E. Dray, 65, of Gallipolis, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2006 at the Holzer Medical Center. He was born on September 25, 1940 in Gallia County, Ohio to the late Raymond Nelson and Mable Edith Plymale Dray. Jack was married to Jeannie Burke Dray and she survives him. He was a general laborer. He was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, a former member of Buckeye Shoe Benders Pony Pulling Association, and a member of the Sons of the Legion. He was also a NASCAR fan. Surviving are his wife, Jeannie Dray of Gallipolis; a son, Vance Dray and a daughter, Karen Aaron Henson, both of Gallipolis; five grandchildren, Amanda Henson, Chris Henson, Vanessa Henson, Kyle Dray and Christine Dray; two great grandchildren, Destiny Carpenter and Cameron Carpenter; one sister, Edith Irene Dray of Gallipolis; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter in infancy, Lindsey Gail Dray;a daughter-in-law, Ruby Dray; five brothers, Claude Dray, Divers Dray, Vance Dray, Raymond Dray, Jr., and Kenneth Dray; three sisters, Virginia Emerson, Juanita Wallace, and Betty Camden. Services will be Thursday, March 9, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Don Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Mina Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, March 8, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
