James A. Fellure, 62, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, April 4, 2016 at his residence. He was born January 9, 1954 in Patriot, Ohio, son of the late Stanton J. and Sarah Slagle Fellure. He married Roberta Unroe on July 26, 1974 and she survives him. James graduated from Gallia Academy High School. He was retired from Gallipolis Developmental Center after 30 years as a Therapeutic Program Worker and 8 years with Buckeye Hills Career Center as a custodian. He attended Northup Baptist Church and Dickey Chapel. James enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing, coaching, pitching horse shoes and corn hole. Surviving are his wife, Roberta Fellure of Gallipolis; a daughter, Tracy (William) DeVault and a son, Trent (Caty) Fellure, both of Gallipolis; six grandchildren, Hannah Young, Bryson and Logan DeVault, Braylee, Madison and Mason Fellure; one sister, Donna (Bryan) Grymes of Gallipolis; two brothers, Darrell Fellure of Gallipolis and Ralph (Janette) Fellure of Piketon, Ohio; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rex and Pauline Unroe of Gallipolis; several nephews and a niece and a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Payton Olivia Fellure, a half brother and a half sister. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor James Lusher officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Kyle Grymes, William DeVault, Nathan Young, Trent Fellure, Mark Mooney, Mitch Salyers, Rick Fisher and Chuck Taylor.
