James A. “Squeak” Pennington, 21, of Gallipolis, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2005. He was born on September 17, 1984 in Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia to James M. Pennington and Mary L. Scarberry Pennington, who both survive him. He was employed by the Gallipolis Daily Tribune as a paper carrier. He graduated from Gallia Academy High School in 2003. He attended First Baptist Church in Gallipolis, was a former member of Pathfinders and had been involved in 4-H. Surviving are his mother, Mary Clark Taylor Pennington of Gallipolis; his father, James M. Pennington of Gallipolis; one sister, Stephanie L. Pennington of Gallipolis; two brothers, Jonathan Christy Pennington of Thurman and Kristopher R. Pennington of Gallipolis; one nephew, Caden Wyatt Pennington; paternal grandmother, Evelyn Pennington of Gallipolis; maternal grandmother, Marjorie Shaver of Gallipolis; several aunts, uncles and cousins; his girlfriend, Kim Mills of Gallipolis and an unborn daughter expected in March. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ray Pennington, a great grandmother, Flora Ethel Scarberry, a nephew, Collin B. Pennington, and a special aunt and uncle, Kathryn Scarberry and Owen Scarberry. Services will be Saturday, November 26, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Haley officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery.
