Janet M. Viars

Janet Marie Viars, 69, of Gallipolis, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at her residence. She was born June 14, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Fred Boysel Sr. and Nellie Mae Casto Boysel. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by a grandchild, Raymond Stephens, a sister Ellen Johnson and a brother Alfred Boysel. She was a homemaker. Surviving are two daughters, Kathern (Terry) Adams and Angela (Willie) Lane, both of Gallipolis; two sons, James (Dee) Duty of Gallipolis and Kellis (Johnni) Duty of Hartford, WV; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; her fiance`, William Atwood Sr. of Gallipolis; two brothers, Fred (Phyllis) Boysel Jr. and Clarence (Genie) Boysel; two sisters, Doris (Phillip) Pucket and Diane (Roger) Gilbert; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Willis Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2-3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Duty Family Cemetery, White Hollow Road.
