Janice Kaye Mckenzie

Janice Kaye McKenzie, 74, of Gallipolis, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Holzer Assisted Living. She was born July 7, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Carrol H. (Casey) and Eva Jo White McKenzie. Janice was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School and was a homemaker. Surviving are her son, Jason (Tammi) Sommer and a daughter, Carol Jo Jody Harrington, both of Gallipolis; a granddaughter, Candice Nicole Sommer and a grandson, Robert Casey Sommer; three great grandchildren Leslie Marie Burchett, Jayla Leigh Sturgeon and John Michael Sturgeon II; one nephew, Joseph Moody and two nieces, Jill Bevan and Jennifer Graham, all of Gallipolis. In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by a son John Sommer, a great granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Sommer and a sister Nannette Moody. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens with Pastor Mike Lynn officiating.
