Jeanne M. Ours

Jeanne M. Ours, 73 of Gallipolis went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 22nd 2025. Jeanne was born on February 2nd, 1952 in Port Huron, MI to Stephen and Theresa Geremesz. She graduated from Gallia Academy High School in 1970 and went on to attend school at St. Mary's. She then worked at the Medical Plaza for many years until she went on to earn her degree from the University of Rio Grande School of Nursing in 1992. She then worked and retired from Holzer Medical center where she worked as a critical care nurse.

Jeanne was married to Marvin E. Ours on June 17, 1972 and had two sons Brian and Michael. She was preceded in death by her parents Stephen and Theresa Geremesz, brother William Geremesz, sister Janice Mctigue, and grandson Jacob "Jake" Ours. Jeanne was also preceded in death by her Father in-law Marvin "Biggin" Ours and Mother in-law Mary Jo Ours.

She is survived by her husband Marvin and sons Brian (Shari) with grandchildren Brian, Cameron, Colby and Luke. Michael (Jackie) with grandchildren Layne, Jake, Michaelanne, Coye, Blake and Merryn.

Jeanne enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with family. She attended St. Louis Catholic Church where she volunteered with the Catholic Women's Club.

Visitation will be held at Willis Funeral Home on Thursday June 26th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. At the conclusion of the calling hours, Jeanne will be honored by the Nurse Honor Guard of the Ohio Valley. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Louis Catholic Church on Friday June 27th at 11a.m. with graveside services to follow at St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery. Please join us following the graveside services to the church hall for lunch provided by the Catholic Women's Club.
