Jefferson N. Baker

Jefferson N. "Jeff" Baker, 79, of Patriot, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 31, 2026 at his residence. Jeff was born on March 9, 1947 in Gallia County, Walnut Township, son of the late Edwin N. and Dortha Myers Baker. He was a graduate of Symmes Valley High School and was a 50 year member of IUOE Local 18 in Columbus. Jeff enjoyed riding his trail horses, hunting, and farming.

Jeff was married for 61 years to Patricia A. "Pat" Walk Baker who survives him; along with a daughter, Teresa (John) and a son, Scott; two grandchildren, James and Tara; one great grandchild, Oliva Anne; sister, Odella Taylor of Bidwell, Ohio; brothers, Gerald J. Baker of Grove City, Ohio and Marlin (Janet) Baker of Patriot; and sister-in-law, Barbara Baker of Ironton, Ohio.  In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Kitchen, Joseph Baker, Omar Baker, and Richard Baker and sister, Katherine Martini.

The funeral service for Jeff will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Kenneth Powell officiating. Private burial will follow in Olive Cemetery. Friends and family may call prior to the service on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
