Jefferson Dean Miller, Sr.

Jefferson Dean "Jeff" Miller, Sr., 68, of Waterloo, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. Jeff was born on April 20, 1958 in Ironton, Ohio, son of the late William Bart and Mildred Jackson Miller.

He was a construction worker and retired from Pillar Energy Oil Fields. Jeff was a jack-of-all-trades, loving to work on things. He was a graduate of Symmes Valley High School, Class of 1977.

Jeff was married to Paula Arbaugh Miller on March 28, 2009; and she survives him in Waterloo. Also surviving are a son, Jefferson "J.D." (Elisha) Miller, Jr. of Waterloo; daughters, Brittany Miller (Teddy Nelson) of Patriot, Crystal Miller of Waterloo, and Amber Miller of Troy, Ohio; grandchildren, Jadyn, Justin, Sage, Casey, and Dakota; great grandson, Easton; brothers, Gerald Wayne Miller and Michael Bart (Dorothy) Miller both of Indiana; sisters, Sally A. Caulley of Gallipolis, Donna B. Clark of Willow Wood, Ohio, Kathy M. Mitchell of Gallipolis, and Shelia K. (Jim) Ross of Patriot; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jerry and Brenda Myers of Willow Wood. In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by grandparents, Jehu and Thersa Jackson and Reeves and Carrie Miller; a sister, Dottie Jean White; and nephews, William Keith Stepp and William "Bill" Stephens.

The funeral service for Jeff Miller will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Josh Hager officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson Family Cemetery. Friends and family may call on Wednesday prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Jefferson Miller, Jr., Mike Miller, David Owens, Joseph Patterson, David Arbaugh, and Teddy Nelson.
