Jerry Dean "J.D." Colley, Jr.

Jerry Dean (J.D.) Colley Jr., 51, returned home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 25, 2018. J.D. was born to Jerry and Jane (Erwin) Colley in Gallipolis, OH on December 13, 1966. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents Claude and Rachel (Elkins) Colley of Patriot, OH; Maternal Grandparents Bob and Virginia (Walker) Erwin of Gallipolis, OH; and niece Jonette Colley of Oak Hill, OH. He is survived by his wife Susan (Booth) Colley (separated) of Gallipolis; beloved daughter and son-in-law Jessica and Brandon Coughenour and Granddaughter Emery Coughenour of Gallipolis, OH; Brother John Colley of Gallipolis; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was a graduate of North Gallia High School. He was a Union Carpenter and Certified Safety Man and had been working for Structure Scaffold since 2004. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Local Union 650. He loved the Lord with all his heart and wasn’t scared to share The Gospel with those he met. His daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter were the light of his life. He also loved riding his Harley Davidson and was a member of the Gallipolis HOG Club. He touched the lives of so many and will be greatly missed. “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8 There will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony held Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 4-6 pm at Willis Funeral Home.
