Jerry Williams

Jerry Williams, 73, of Urbana, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio. He was born October 14, 1943 in Gallia County, son of the late Marion G. and Hazel Massie Williams. Jerry married Karen Carpenter and she preceded him in death on May 16, 2012. He was self employed. He enjoyed coon hunting, coon dogs and car racing. Surviving are his daughters, Cindy (Bob) Williams of New Carlisle, Ohio and Vickey Johnson of Port Wentworth, Georgia; six grandchildren, Cassandra Leigh Shepherd, Angela Nicole Massie, Miranda Jade Massie, Morgan (Cody) Glazer, Kenny (Tiffany) Marnati and Chris Marnati; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Karen, Jerry was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin Keith Williams and Edward Williams and a sister, Mary Lou Beckett. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Carnes officiating. Burial will follow in St. Nick Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 -1:00 p.m., prior to the funeral.
