Jessica D. Kirby

Jessica D. Kirby, 58, of Middleport, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at her residence.

Born on December 22, 1966 in Newport News, Virginia, Jessica was the daughter of the late Linden Clovis Elkins and Stella Janie Williams Elkins, who survives her in Patriot, Ohio. Jessica graduated from Southwestern High School, worked in the Lawn & Garden Department at Walmart, and was a member of First Church of God in Gallipolis, Ohio. She married Bryan Kirby, who preceded her in death in 2011. Jessica enjoyed spending family time with her grandchildren.

Jessica is survived by her children, Alicia Louderback of Jackson, Ohio, Desiree (Gary) Ashby of Oak Hill, Ohio, Adam (Jordan) Lewis of Oak Hill, and Devin (Rachel) Kirby of Patriot; fourteen grandchildren; mother, Janie Elkins of Patriot; siblings, Angela Potts (Joe Carter) of Patriot, Michael (Tina) Elkins of Gallipolis, and Scott Elkins of Patriot; and companion, Randy Carpenter of Middleport and his family, Seth (Taylor) Carpenter of Mercerville, Ohio and Tyler (Allie) Carpenter of Mercerville.

In addition to her father and husband, Jessica was preceded in death by one great granddaughter, Oaklynn and Randy’s son, Bobby Carpenter.

The funeral service for Jessica will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 15, 2025 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Dustin Cobble officiating. Her burial will follow in Kirby Family Cemetery, Gallipolis, Ohio. Friends and family may call prior to the service Monday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
