Jessie Mae Bills, 96, of Crown City, Ohio passed away on Sunday December 23, 2012 at the Hospice of Huntington, in Huntington, WV. Jessie Mae was born on November 24, 1916 in Crown City, Ohio daughter of the late Jesse Gilbert Sims and Eliza Mae Ours Sims. She served as the Village Clerk of Crown City for forty-two years and was a member of the Crown City United Methodist Church. She also was a self-employed upholsterer and enjoyed singing. Jessie Mae was married to Sanford L. Bills on November 14, 1932 and he preceded her in death on May 12, 1994. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Norma Ann Mucha and great granddaughter Samantha, six sisters, Iva Gillispie, Myrtle McCroskey, Ina Caldwell, Arlie Brumfield, Pearl Williams, and Opal Graham; two Brothers Ernest Sims and Norris Sims. Surviving are one son Norman Lee Bills of Monroe Georgia and one daughter Evelyn (Eugene) Small of Crown City, 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 1 pm Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastors Curtis Sheets and George Holley, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery.
