Joan Unroe

Joan Unroe, 76, Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016, at her residence. Joan was born on September 4, 1939 in Miller, Ohio daughter of the late James M. and Edna Darling Miller. She was married to Jack Unroe and he survives her. Joan was a member of the Church of Christ in Miller, Ohio. She enjoyed playing the guitar, singing and attending church services. She especially enjoyed writing poetry. She is survived by her husband Jack Unroe of Gallipolis, Son Bryan (Carla) Jones of Pt. Pleasant, WV. Three grandchildren, Ashton Jones, Emily Jones and Axyle Jones all of Pt. Pleasant. Her sister Wilma Poteet of Cleveland, Ohio. Preceded her in death are her parents James and Edna Miller, brothers and sisters Bob, Hazel, Doris, Don, Dorothy , her twin brother John and two sisters in infancy Daisy and Betty. Services will be on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Willis Funeral Home with Richard Unroe officiating. Burial will follow at the Miller Memorial Gardens.
