John Gordon Ehman

John Gordon Ehman, 64, of Gallipolis, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 9, 2018. He was born on June 19, 1953 in Gallia County, Ohio. John retired from the State Highway Department and was presently a trustee for Perry Township. He was also an avid farmer. Preceding John in death were his parents, Albert and Virginia (Bandy) Ehman and three brothers, Albert Stephen Ehman, George Allen Ehman, and Charles Ray Ehman. John is survived by his son, John (Amanda) Ehman II of Gallipolis; daughter, Laura Shaw of Thurman; four grandchildren, Hailey Ehman, Hannah Ehman, Austin Ehman, and Jase Shaw; two sisters, Nancy Ehman of Gallipolis and Jenny Ehman Fraley of Thurman; one brother, James (Debbie) Ehman of Patriot; sisters-in-law, Diana Ehman of Gallipolis and Rita Ehman of Patriot; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, the Toschlog Family of Brownsville, Indiana, The Mast Family of Mt. Perry, Ohio, Jim and Tande Rose, Allen and Cindy Rutherford, and Mike and Brenda Whittaker. The funeral service for John will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Phil Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Graciously honoring the request to serve as pallbearers are Austin Ehman, Jim Ehman, Terry Lakin, Jeff McGinnis, Jim Rose, and Allen Rutherford.
