John Sigman, Jr.

John Sigman, Jr., 58, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at his residence. Son of the late John Sigman, Sr. and Lorene "Shirley" Parsons Sigman, John was born on September 7, 1967 in Gallipolis.

He worked for 33 years at Gavin Power before retiring from his position as Maintenance Superintendent. On July 17, 2009, John married his wife, Amanda, in Waycross, Georgia. In his free time, John enjoyed the great outdoors through activities such as hunting, riding four-wheelers and side-by-sides, and working on cars. He was also known as a "jerky connoisseur".

John was preceded in death by his parents; a nephew, Brandon Booth; and his fur-baby, Maddie;. In addition to his wife, John is survived by a son, Colton; daughters, Whitley Sigman, Carly Sigman, and Taylor Mathie; grandchildren, Paige, Owen, and Damien Myers; a brother, Randy (Melissa) Sigman; his fur-baby, Sadie; a sister-in-law, Sarah (Sascha) Stirl; parents-in-law, John and Joyce Mooney; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family.

Funeral services for John will be held at Willis Funeral Home on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Ron McClung officiating. His burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends and family may be received from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. the evening prior.
