Johnny Van Mcguire

Johnny Van McGuire, 72, of Bidwell, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Holzer Medical Center. Born on September 5, 1946 in Pikeville, Kentucky, Johnny was the son of the late John Henry and Emogene Belcher McGuire. Johnny married Nora Sue Steele McGuire, who survives him in Bidwell. He retired from Southern Ohio Coal after 28 years of service. Johnny was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Germany. He was a member of Feeney- Bennett American Legion #128 and Masonic Lodge #131 Vinton. Johnny is survived by his wife, Nora Sue McGuire; son, Dennis McGuire of Vinton; daughter, Julie McGuire of Bidwell; grandchildren, Amy, Johnathon, Dalton, and Tanner; and brother, Mike (Janet) McGuire of Mooresburg, Tennessee. In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Charla McGuire. A memorial service will be held for Johnny McGuire at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Rod Walker and Pastor Heath Jenkins officiating. A military service will be conducted prior to the service. Friends may call from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
