Johnny E. Patterson, Sr., 50, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018. He was born on March 20, 1967 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, son of the late Oshel Patterson and Betty Pittman Patterson, who survives him. Johnny married Rosemary Ray on April 5, 2008, and she survives him. Surviving are his daughter, Samantha (Kevin) Brown of Newark, Ohio; son, Johnny E. (Brittany) Patterson, Jr. of Newark, Ohio; stepchildren, Terry (Karen) Ray of Wisconsin, Cindy Lambert (Sam) of Gallipolis, and Michael (April) Lambert of Piqua, Ohio; grandchildren, Noah and Arabella Brown, and Bayleigh Patterson; step grandchildren, Caroline, Robert, Corey, Angel, Margaret, and Ethan; mother, Betty Patterson of Gallipolis; sisters, Kathleen (Jesse) White, Karen Mullins (Paul Hall), Sandra (Virgil) Willet, and Esther (Matt) Palmer, all of Gallipolis, and Patricia (David) Mooney of Crown City; brothers, James (Carrie) Patterson of Bidwell and Oshel (Darlene) Patterson, Jr. of Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia, Walter (Becky) Patterson of Point Pleasant, Larry (Laura) Patterson of Crown City, Richard (Jenia) Patterson of Point Pleasant, Lonnie (Christy) Patterson of Gallipolis, and Robert (Jessi) Patterson of Gallipolis; several nieces and nephews and great niece and nephew, Nevaeh and James Patterson; brothers-in-law, Eddie Ray and Spanky Ray of Gallipolis; and special friends, Danny (Sharon) Foglesong, Earl (Joyce) Foglesong, Bill (Janie) Bateman, Joan Baird and Rodney Wallbrown. In addition to his father, two brothers preceded Johnny in death, Bruce and Tony Johnson. Services will be 1 p.m., Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Patterson-Clonch Cemetery in Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia. Friends may call from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
