Jonathan B. Pennington, 23, of Gallipolis, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2006 as the result of an auto accident. He was born on October 21, 1982 in Gallipolis to James M. Pennington and Mary L. Scarberry Pennington, who survive him. Jonathan was a senior deckhand for Ingram Barge Line. He enjoyed skating and hanging out. Surviving are his parents, James M. Pennington and Mary L. Pennington, both of Gallipolis; a son, Caden Wyatt Pennington of Vinton; a daughter, Heaven Serena Ann Carson of Gallipolis; an unborn daughter, Aleigha Lynn Pennington; a sister, Stephanie L. Pennington of Gallipolis; a brother, Kristopher R. Pennington of Gallipolis; grandparents, Evelyn Pennington and Marjorie Shaver, both of Gallipolis; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Jonathan was preceded in death by a son, Collin B. Pennington on June 6, 2002, a brother, James A. “Squeak” Pennington in 2005, a grandfather Ray Pennington and a special great uncle, Owen Scarberry. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Junior Preston and Rev. Calvin Minnis officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery.
