Judy Ann Wolford, 72, of Crown City, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Arbors of Gallipolis. Born March 13, 1946 in Gallia County, Ohio, Judy was the daughter of the late Lawrence Edward Shafer and L. Grace Saunders Shafer, who survives her in Crown City, Ohio. Judy married Truman Junior Wolford, who preceded her in death on November 21, 2012. As a farmer and a homemaker, Judy enjoyed her family. She graduated from Hannan Trace High School in the Class of 1964. Judy is survived by her daughters, Lisa Wolford of Crown City and Jennifer Burgess of Chillicothe; son, James (Tara) Wolford of Crown City; grandchildren, Taylor (Seth) Carpenter, Jayla Wolford, Whitney Burgess, and Kristen Burgess; great grandchildren, Jaymie Burgess, Jaxson Burgess, and Madelyn Shaw; sisters, Evelyn (Roy) Wallace of Napoleon, Ohio, Connie (Roger) Sell of Merencie, Michigan, Donna Bankey of Perrysburg, Ohio, Kathi (Joseph) Distel of Napoleon, Ohio, Regina (Carl) Hively of Gallipolis, and Sandra (Doug) Eis of Napoleon, Ohio; brothers, Carl (Mary) Shafer of Liberty Center, Ohio, Curtis Shafer of Gallipolis, and David Shafer of Gallipolis. In addition to her husband and father, Judy was preceded in death by her sisters, Lora Smith and Carolyn Green and brother, James Edward Shafer. The funeral service for Judy Wolford will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Kings Chapel Church with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Kings Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Willis Funeral Home.
