June E. Porter

June E. Porter, 83, of Gallipolis, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at her grandson’s residence in Bidwell. She was born April 3, 1934 in Ohio Township, Gallia County, daughter of the late Earl and Gusta E. Lanthorne Angell. In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her special friend, Bennie J. George, two brothers, Lester and Bill Angell, and three sisters, Bonnie Austin, Catherine McKean, and Elsie Hazlett. June was a homemaker. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit of Gallipolis. Surviving are her daughter, Brenda Porter of Gallipolis; a grandson, Jackie Lee (Gina) Stegall of Bidwell; three great grandchildren, Alexis Stegall, Sariah Brinker, both of Pomeroy, Emma Davis of Bidwell; one brother, Marion (Nancy) Angell of Crown City; one sister, Carolyn (Waldo) Porter of Sandusky, Ohio; and special friends, Stella Howell, Mary French, Jessie Barcus, Betty Lane, and Sharon Dixon. June also leaves behind her dog, Bandit. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in Clay Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, prior to the service from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Pallbearers will be Mike Porter, Jeff Porter, Ronnie Porter, Raymond Pauley, Jack Stegall, Doug Burns, and Robert McGuire.
