Karen S. Goody

Karen S. Goody, 50, of Gallipolis passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Ohio University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Born on November 22, 1968 in Jackson County, Ohio, Karen was the daughter of the late James and Iva Whitt Nickels. On January 1, 2000, Karen married James A. Goody, who survives her in Gallipolis. She was a homemaker and a member of Southwestern High School Class of 1987. Karen is survived by her husband, James A. Goody of Gallipolis; daughter, Ida Mae Ward; step daughter, Angie (Michael) Dickerson of Pomeroy; grandchildren, Meisha Dickerson of Shade, Ohio and Maddi (Gage) Grandstaff of Zanesville, Ohio; great grandchildren, Zoey Burkhamer of Pomeroy and Jaxon and Kaycen Grandstaff of Zanesville; sisters, Pam Hall of Gallipolis and Sharon Johnson of Gallipolis; and brothers, Doug Nickels of Jackson, Ohio, Paul Nickels of Rodney, Ohio, and Darrell Nickels of Jackson. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by two brothers, Jeff Nickels and Tim Nickels. A graveside service for Karen will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Hill Cemetery.
