Karl Thacker

Karl Thacker, 85, of Patriot, Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026 at his residence.

Born on May 25, 1941 in Wheelersburg, Ohio, Karl was the son of the late Ervin Robert and Grace Allen Thacker. On June 6, 1964, Karl married Winifred "Winnie" Sirois Thacker who survives him in Patriot. Karl was a United States Air Force veteran; after serving his country, Karl retired from General Motors. Karl was a member of American Legend Post 27 and Morning Dawn Masonic Lodge #7 in Gallipolis. He enjoyed traveling.

Karl is survived by his wife, Winnie Thacker of Patriot; daughter, Tina (Scott) Kearns of New Haven, West Virginia; son, Kenneth (Kendra) Thacker of Lancaster, Ohio; two grandchildren, Ethan Kearns of Clifton, West Virginia and Cameron Thacker of Lancaster, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Karl was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

The funeral service for Karl will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Benson officiating. Friends may call prior to the service Monday from 12:00p.m-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside burial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 in Memorial Burial Park, Wheelersburg, Ohio. A military honor service will be provided at the graveside.
