Katheleen F. Rose

Katheleen F. Rose, 83, of Gallipolis, Ohio, went home to be with her Lord on January 29, 2026.

Born on December 26, 1942 in Gallia County, Ohio, Katheleen was the daughter of the late Grover W. and Ruth B. Smith Waugh. On March 28, 1964, Katheleen united in marriage with the love of her life, Joe Rose, beginning a beautiful journey that spanned 61 years of love, partnership, and joy. A devoted woman of faith, she was a member of Kings Chapel Church. She loved her family with a Christ-like devotion and lived her life in joyful service to the Lord

In addition to her parents, Katheleen was preceded in death by siblings Edith Stapleton, Grover Lee Waugh, and Paul Waugh.

Katheleen is survived by her husband, Joseph A. "Joe" Rose; two daughters, Teresa (Ivan) Lane and Kathy (Keith) Campbell; a son, Bryan Rose (Deanna Waugh); grandchildren, Amber (Josh) Burnett, Bryanna (Jesse) Levacy, Shyanna (Jeff) Burnett, Kari (Hubbell) Smith, Abbey Lane, Anthony (Elena) Lane, Lacey (Aaron) Miranda, Nathan Biars, and Eric (Camie) Biars; her twin sister, Geraldine Cummons of Gallipolis; sisters, Alice Pinkerman of Springfield, Ohio, and Ruth Ann Criner of Columbus, Ohio; her brother, Francis Waugh of Crown City, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Bill Stapleton of Gallipolis; several great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The funeral services for Katheleen will be held at Willis Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Clyde Ferrell officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends and family may be received on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.
