Kenneth R. Wheeler, 93, of Cheshire, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018 at O’Bleness Hospital, Athens, Ohio. He was born December 31, 1924 in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Harley E. and Mary “Frankie” Dickerson Wheeler. Kenneth was married to Marlene Kuehnert and she survives him. He was a 1941 graduate of Adamsville High School. He was retired from the AEP Gavin Plant, but he worked first at the Philo Plant. Kenny loved music, fishing, growing flowers, traveling. He never met a stranger. Surviving are his wife, Marlene Wheeler of Cheshire; his blended family, Kay (Dean) Gutridge of Newark, Mary (Samuel) Greenfield of Nashport, Kenneth M. (Connie Arrington) Wheeler of Jackson, Linda Henson Depasquale of The Plains, Randy (Rebecca) Johnson of Patriot and Bob (Christine) Johnson of Marion; 18 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 21 great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Wheeler, brothers Charles Lloyd and Donald Wheeler and a stepdaughter, Deborah Thompson. A special thank you to Dr. Hawkins and Pleasant Valley Hospital, doctors and staff at O’Bleness Hospital, Athens and the staff at Hickory Creek. A Celebration of Life service will be 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Leon Forte officiating. Friends may visit from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. prior to the service. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Chandlersville United Methodist Church, 9105 Chandlersville Rd, Chandlersville, Ohio with Pastor Charles Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Chandlersville Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service
