Kenneth E. Williams

Kenneth E. Williams, 71, of Patriot, passed away on October 24, 2006 at his home, following an extended illness. Kenneth was born on May 27, 1935 in Gallia County, son of the late Parker and Hazel Jackson Williams. L/Cpl E3 Kenneth E. Williams served his country as a U.S. Marine, stationed at the U.S. Naval Weapons Station, Yorktown, VA, as a rifleman during the years of 1957-1959. He also retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company with 34 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are two sons, Marty Williams of Patriot and Brian Renee Williams of Chesapeake; three daughters, Renee Tim Weaver of Gallipolis, Sonya Rich Little of Washington Court House, and Tonya Tony Holbrook of Patriot; seven grandchildren, Amanda Chris Vernon of Bidwell, Chrissy Ed Miller of Thurman, Matthew Weaver of Gallipolis, Melissa Judson Swindler of Crown City, Courtney Little of Fairborn, Brian and Terra Williams of Chesapeake; two step grandchildren, Curtis Holbrook and Kehte Little; four great grandchildren, Nathan, Emma and Audrey Vernon and Bryson Miller; a fifth great grandchild due in March – Madalyn Miller; two sisters, Faye Runyon of Sabina and Violet Taylor of Gallipolis. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2006 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Neal Cemetery at Mudsoc. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, October 26, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. There will be full military graveside rites at the cemetery by volunteers of area veteran’s lodges. Pallbearers will be Marty Williams, Matthew Weaver, Henery Sheets, Nolan Thornton, Randy Runion and Don Elliott. Honorary Pallbearers will be Curtis Holbrook.
