Kennith R. Taylor

Kennith R. Taylor, 88, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Holzer Medical Center.

Born on April 9, 1938 in Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia, Kennith was the son of the late Arnie H. and Thelma Long Taylor. He married Audrey Slinde Taylor, and she survives him in Gallipolis. Kennith graduated from Point Pleasant High School Class of 1957. He was an Operating Engineer, working as a crane operator with #132 in Charleston, West Virginia for 40 years. Kennith was a member of Morning Dawn Masonic Lodge #7 and Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus. He enjoyed traveling and loved his grandchildren.

Kennith is survived by his wife, Audrey Taylor of Gallipolis; son, John (Jenny) Taylor of Gallipolis; daughter-in-law, Leisa Taylor of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Amanda Taylor of Huntington, West Virginia, Kelly Richards of Gallipolis, Casey (Macie) Taylor of Pasadena, Maryland, Eric (Anne) Taylor of Williamstown, West Virginia, and Katie (Sam) Shawver of Gallipolis; twelve great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry Taylor and Roy "Vicki" Taylor; and his guard dog, Buster.

In addition to his parents, Kennith was preceded in death by a son, Gary Taylor and three brothers, Chuck Taylor, Bobby Taylor, and Jimmy Taylor.

A Graveside Service with Masonic rites will be held for Kennith at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 in Pine Street Cemetery with Pastor Ted Nance officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Kennith's name to New Life Lutheran Church, 900 Jackson Pike, Gallipolis, Ohio 45631.
