Kit C. Gibson, 90, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Sunday, August 06, 2006 at the Holzer Medical Center. He was born on November 24, 1915 in Pike County, Kentucky, son of the late Willie Gibson and Jane Bartlie Gibson. He was a retired Coal Miner for Allied Corp., a World War II US Navy Veteran and a Korean Conflict Veteran US Army Veteran. Kit was married to Stella Smith Gibson on April 17, 1934 in Pike Co., KY and she preceded him in death on November 2, 2001. He is survived by a step son George Kermit Mullins of Ansted, WV; a step granddaughter raised in the home, Teresa Gail Taylor of TN; fifteen step grandchildren; twenty step great grandchildren; and one step great great grandchild; a half brother John Cecil Gibson of Fayetteville, WV. Kit was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Stella, a stepson Earlie J. Mullins, Jr., a stepdaughter Ethel Mae Potter, four brothers Carlos Gibson, Lloyd Gibson, Jim Gibson, and Sid Gibson, a sister Velcie Clevenger and a half sister Glenna Rupert. Services will be 11 AM Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at Willis Funeral Home with Brother Sam Franks officiating. Burial will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of the services at Willis Funeral Home.
