Larry E. "Red" Broyles

Larry E. “Red” Broyles, 76, of Gallipolis, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at his residence. He was born January 14, 1942 in Gallia County, son of the late John Luther and Adeldia Stover Broyles. Larry was married to Bonnie Broyles and she survives him. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran. A member of French City Baptist Church, American Legion Post #27, and VFW #4464. He was a retired boilermaker of Local #667, Winfield, WV. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Broyles of Gallipolis; children, Adeldia (Jose) Lopez of Lawrenceburg, KY and Preston “Pete” (Tammy) Broyles of Gallipolis; a stepson, Lance Hughes of Utah; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a step great grandchild; two sisters, Phyllis Carroll of Bidwell and Garnett Hurlow of Columbus; and a half sister, Mary Alice Kinnard of Dayton. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by two sons, Troy Broyles and Larry Broyles Jr., a brother John Broyles and stepdaughter, Stacie Hughes. A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Gravel Hill Cemetery with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow. Willis Funeral Home is assisting the family. There will be military graveside services by volunteers of the Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail.
