Larry W. Priest, 75, of Gallipolis, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at his residence. He was born September 10, 1942 in Belle, West Virginia, son of the late Manning C. and Dorothy Jarrett Priest. Larry was married to Sue Owens and she survives him. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam war and retired from the Bob Evans Sausage Plant. He was a member of Central Christian Church. Larry loved his church, family and especially supporting his grandchildren in everything they did. Surviving are his wife, Sue Priest of Gallipolis; a daughter, Amy (Dwight) Evans of Gallipolis; a stepson, Brian (Jeanna) McCarley of Gallipolis; six grandchildren, Carter, Kate and Cohen Evans, Te`a, Will and Ethan McCarley; brothers and sisters, Bill (Jan) Priest of Huntsville, Alabama, Dottie (Earl) Brafford of Loudon, Tennessee, and Connie (Bill) Treece of Kankakee, Illinois. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Dean Priest. Services will be 11:30 a.m., Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Denny Coburn officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. There will be full military rites at the graveside by the Gallia County Veterans Funeral Detail. Pallbearers will be Carter Evans, Will McCarley, Bob Cox, Bob Nelson, Clyde Preast, and John Moore.
