Lawrence L. "Pat" Patterson Sr.

Lawrence L. “Pat” Patterson Sr., of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 at his residence. He was born July 16, 1927 in Enid, Oklahoma, son of the late James and Maude Birchfield Patterson. Pat was a World War II Air Force veteran and was a retired riverboat captain. Surviving are nine children, Larry Patterson, Jeff Patterson and Ricky Patterson, all of Henderson, West Virginia, Steve Patterson and Linda Swisher of Pt. Pleasant, West Virginia, Kim (Larry) Myers of Henderson, West Virginia, Charlene Patterson (Robert Bruce) of Athens, Ohio, Libby (Ken) Patrick of Cocoa, Florida, and Larry (Jeaneen) Casey of Wilmington, Ohio; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Patterson in 2002. Graveside services will be 12:30 p.m., Friday, February 5, 2016 at Old Mercerville Cemetery. Friends may call at the Willis Funeral Home on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
