Leslie Eugene Small

Leslie Eugene Small, 93, of Crown City, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at his residence.

Born on September 14, 1932 in Gallia County, Ohio, Eugene was the son of the late Leslie and Mildred J. Swain Small. Eugene was married to Evelyn Bills Small; she preceded him in death on April 8, 2018. Eugene served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was the owner and operator of Small Trucking; he had also been a truck driver for his company. Eugene was a member of Crown City Wesleyan Church.

Eugene is survived by his son, David (Allison) Small of Gallipolis, Ohio; two grandchildren, Corey (Haley) Small of Crown City and Lesley (Cory) Short of Crown City; two great-grandchildren, Evelyn Small and Lainey Small; seven sisters, Maralene Watson, Geraldine Sheets, Sharon (Bill) Barnes, Carol Bailey, Shelba (Robert) Lanning, Becky (Dwight) Lloyd, and Cathy (Tom) Pope; two brothers, Jack Small and Charles Small; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Eugene will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Beau Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Gallia County Honor Guard at the cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Barnes, Chad Barnes, Deke Barnes, Alan Bailey, Phil Bailey, and Trevor Small.
