Lillian Monroe, 94, of Gallipolis, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2005 at the Arbors at Gallipolis. She was born on January 17, 1911 in Gallia County, Ohio to the late Joseph and Harriet Brown Allbright. She married Roy Monroe on July 18, 1931 and he precedes her in death. She was a homemaker. Surviving are one son-in-law, Ray Baker of Patriot; two grandchildren, William Debbie Baker of Gallipolis and Carolyn Jack Berry of Paulding, Ohio; four great grandchildren, Audrey Farley, Jennifer Muncy, Jackie Corn and Carrie Berry; four great great grandchildren, Trey Farley, Kaylei Muncy, Cameron Muncy and Braden Corn. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Roy Munroe in 1996, a daughter, Audrey Baker in 1972, seven sisters, Vesta E. Allbright, Minnie May Carter-Stone, Rachel Bennett, Laura Brown, Mary Elizabeth Sanders-Allbright, Martha Spriggs, Clarabelle Drummond-Brown, two brothers, Clarence Allbright and James Oscar Allbright, and a nephew raised in the home, Dallas Allbright. Services will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 – 2 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service.
