Lillian L. "Lou" Swisher

Lillian L. “Lou” Swisher, 82, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at home, surrounded by loved ones. Lillian was born October 4, 1935, daughter of the late Kenna and Emma Kinzel Hughes. She graduated from Point Pleasant High School in 1955 and retired from the Grace United Methodist Church in Gallipolis after 15 years of service. On February 23, 1962, Lillian married Edmund Swisher, who survives her. She attended River of Life United Methodist Church. Lillian is survived by her husband, Edmund Swisher of Gallipolis; son, Michael (Jeanie) Swisher of Cheshire, Ohio; daughter, Cindy Milliron (Max) Roberts of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Ethan Max Edmund Roberts and Travis (Korena) Roberts of Cheshire; two great granddaughters, Addison and Leah Roberts; one brother, Herbert (Marty) Hughes of Barberton, Ohio; and one sister, Opal Beckner of Point Pleasant, West Virginia. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
