Lillian M. Wolford

Lillian M. Wolford, 83, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2006 at the Pleasant Valley Hospital in Pt. Pleasant, WV. She was born on May 16, 1923 in Gallia County to Garred Ostin and Ruby Craig Blake. She retired in 1986 from the Gallipolis Developmental Center after 31 years of service where she was a Hospital Aid in the Nursing Services Department. She was a member of the Centenary United Christian Church and attended several area churches. She was married to Russell E. Wolford and he preceded her in death on February 5, 1984. Surviving are five daughters, Ruby Halley of Williamsport, Ohio, Marlene Gary Wills of Grove City, Ohio, Jurrie Aaron Reynolds, Emma Estep both of Gallipolis, Ohio, and Jennifer Wolford of Gallipolis, Ohio, two sons, Ronnie Wolford of Gallipolis, and Richard L. Carla Wolford of Crown City, Ohio, 7 Grandchildren, and 12 Great Grandchildren; two sisters, Lulu Mae Blake of Gallipolis, Ohio and Louise William Queen of Canal Winchester, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Vivian Blake of Gallipolis, and Lucy Blake of South Point, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell, two granddaughters, Arlena Halley and Jennifer Reynolds, her parents, and by three brothers, Lester, Lloyd and Leo Blake. Services will be 1 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Truman Johnson officiating, burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 from 6-8 PM at Willis Funeral Home. Honorary Pall bearers will be Tom Cook, Richard Trout, Kenny Swain, James Smith, Gene Myers, Randall Spencer and Jack Holley, Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.
