Lillie Murray

Lillie M. Murray passed away on October 23, 2026, at Holzer Senior Care Center in Bidwell, Ohio. She was born July 7, 1939, in Newcomb, KY to Virgil Stephens and Opal Stephens Mobley.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Tim) Hackworth, Lori (Mike) Beaver, and Amy (Brian) Corbin; her grandchildren, Jennifer Angel, Kristen (Steve) Pelfrey, Zachary (Kaitlin) Beaver, Bailie (Scott) Warren, and Kelsey (Mike) Byrd; and her brother, Ron (Barbara) Stephens.

Lillie was blessed with ten great-grandchildren: Halli Angel, Jake Angel, Charlie Pelfrey, Kylie Pelfrey, Jase Beaver, Jennings Beaver, Jackson Warren, Tyson Warren, Ati Warren, and Salem Byrd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Murray; parents, Virgil Stephens and Opal Mobley; sister, Dixie Williams; and infant granddaughter, Kaci Lynn Corbin.

Her compassion for others was reflected in Lillie’s work with the Head Start Program. For more than two decades, she worked tirelessly to create an environment of love, kindness, and imagination for the children in our community. Later in her career, Lillie worked at Woodland Centers where she shared her resilience and forgiving nature with those in her care.

Private graveside services were held at the family’s convenience.
