Linda Williams

Making Heaven a little more crowded, Linda Williams, 81, of Gallipolis, Ohio, was met by her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 11, 2025. Linda grew up in Apple Grove, West Virginia, and is the daughter of Ottie and Thelma Nowlin, sister of Dana (Joyce) Nowlin and Don (Ireta) Nowlin, aunt to Rick (Tonda) Nowlin, Greg Nowlin, Sherry Henry, Mike (Brenda) Nowlin, and Teresa (Joe) Fralic all of West Virginia. Linda graduated from Point Pleasant High School in 1962 and retired after 30 years in 2017 from City National Bank in Point Pleasant, West Virginia.

On December 31, 1965, Linda married Paul Dean Williams I of Gallipolis, Ohio. Surviving them both are their children Paula Gayle Williams-Wray (Greg) and Paul Dean Williams II (Michelle). Grandchildren McKenzie, Chase, Mikayla (Dakota), Faith, and Briar. Nine great grandchildren. Sister-in-law Barbara (Bill) Unroe of Gallipolis, and nephews Billy and Brian Unroe.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Linda’s honor to District 2 Volunteer Fire Department where her son serves as Captain. RCFFAA 120 Mercerville Road, Crown City, OH 45623 or to Holzer Hospice, 90 Jackson Pike, Gallipolis, OH 45631 in memory of Linda Williams in the memo.

Friends may call on the family at Willis Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2025, with Dakota Wroten officiating. Burial will follow at Ohio Valley Memorial Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Paul “Bub” Williams II, Greg Wray, Dakota Wroten, Brian Unroe, Jordan Shaffer, and Jacob Nowlin. Honorary pallbearers will be Briar Williams and McKenzie Williams-Wray.

The family wishes to extend our deepest gratitude to Shelly Ranegar and the Jackson Holzer 2nd Floor team for the excellent care and love given to our mother.
