Louise B. Caldwell

September 15, 1943 — December 3, 2025

Louise B. Caldwell, 82, of Vinton, Ohio, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 3, 2025. Louise was born on September 15, 1943 at her home in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Walter Scott Clay and Mary Ann Lucas Clay, where she was one of 14 children. She was married to Robert G. Caldwell, and together they had four wonderful children: Robert, Darrell, Debbie, and Tina.

She was a member of Old Kyger Freewill Baptist Church since 1993, and she also attended Longview Community Church. She retired from Holzer Medical Center and Bob Evans. She loved being with her family and making sure both her church and home were clean and well taken care of.

In addition to her husband, Louise was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie J. Wolford; brothers Curly Clay, Carl Ray Clay, Nathan Clay, Tom Clay, Lester Clay, and Edgar Clay; as well as sisters Genny Racer, Ardith, Redith, and Ida. She is survived by her children: Robert (Judy) Caldwell, Darrell (Liz) Caldwell, and Tina Caldwell (Shawn); a brother, Bob Clay of South Carolina; a sister, Mary Lou "Bunny" Gay of Mississippi; grandchildren Sonya (Michael) Warren, Justin (Holly) Wells, Ashley (Austin) Gaines, Ryan (Katie) Caldwell, Erica Caldwell, Ronny (Sable) Burns, Lacie (Will) Dobbins, Cory Caldwell, Caleb Ferrell, and Connor Ferrell; 11 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.

She will be greatly missed by all of us, but she is rejoicing in the heavens with her loved ones who went before us.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025 at Willis Funeral Home in Gallipolis. Friends and Family may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will follow in the Rife Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ronnie Burns, Justin Wells, Ryan Caldwell, Michael Clay, Dwayne Gay, and Austin Gaines. Honorary pallbearers are Franklin Gay and Shawn Berry.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Old Kyger Freewill Baptist Church in Bidwell, Ohio.
