Luther S. Ferguson

Luther S. Ferguson, 84, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family at 1:10 am. Luther was born on February 9, 1932 in Breeden, WV, son of the late Wayne C. and Ethel Browning Ferguson. He was a farmer and welder. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Lenora R. Jarrell Ferguson and daughters Ethyl M. Beam of Sidney, Ohio, and Nancy (Howard) Mullins of Chesapeake, Virginia, 8 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Luther is also survived by his long-time friend, Pebles, a 16 year old terrier. Also surviving are 4 brothers Clarence E. (Roberta) of Chesapeake, Ohio, Jim of Tipp City, Ohio, Dallas (K.C.) of Florida, and Paul (Beth) of Sidney, Ohio, 3 sisters, Abby (Jerry) Moore of Sidney, Ohio, Martha Shu of Lima and Lora Flangan, of Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews, along with numerous friends and neighbors who loved him. Luther was preceded in death by 2 sons Eddie and Joey, a son-in-law Russell Beam and his parents and his step mother Mary whom he loved and missed very much. Several brothers and sisters preceded, Sam, Wayne, Hayes, Frank, Wayne C., George R., George W., Ira, Rosie, Celia, Ruth, Ireda, Bradis, Faye, and Ruby Gene. Services will be 1 pm Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Harper officiating. His burial will follow in Old Pine Cemetery.
