Mabel “Sis” Davis, 81, of Crown City, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 6, 2012 at the Huntington Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia. She was born January 2, 1931 in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Ralston “Jack” and Iva Swain Johnson. Mabel was married to Harold L. Davis and he preceded her in death on March 13, 2009. She retired as a cook for the Gallia County Local Schools. She was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking and gardening. Surviving are her four daughters, Joyce Boster and Sharon (Robin) Fisher, both of Gallipolis, Donna (Gary) Michael of Crown City, and Janet (Sammy) Hall of Claudville, Virginia; nine grandchildren, Scott (Stacie) Boster, Chris (Jenny) Boster, Bradley Fisher, Ryan Fisher, Jeremy (Laura) Davis, David Michael, Chad Michael, Joseph (Natalie) Hall, Jerry Hall; 10 great grandchildren; a sister, Kay Triplett of Crown City; two brothers, Virgil Johnson of Gallipolis and Rick (Patrice) Johnson of Crown City; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Harold L. Davis, Mabel was preceded in death by a brother, James Johnson. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, August 12, 2012 at the Providence Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Troy Delaney officiating. Her body will lie in state for 1 hour prior to the service at the Church. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Friends may call at the Willis Funeral Home on Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Scott Boster, Chris Boster, Brad Fisher, Jeremy Davis, David Michael and Erick Johnson.
