Mabel Alice Mcguire Beaver

May 4, 1920 — February 20, 2013

Mabel Alice McGuire Beaver, 92, of Gallipolis, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Holzer Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was born May 4, 1920 in Gallia County, daughter of the late John W. and Nellie Wickline McGuire. Mabel married Rudy W. Beaver and he preceded her in death in 1989. She was a homemaker and a wonderful mother. Mabel was a foster grandparent at Holzer Hospital. She was involved with the Good News Radio Broadcast for over 40 years. She was a member of Gallipolis Church of Christ in Christian Union. Surviving are six daughters, Carolyn Kingery and Mary (Paul) Russell, both of Gallipolis, Sandra (James) Kapp of West Columbia, WV, Sharon Pickens of Pt. Pleasant, WV, Beverly Byus of Gallipolis and Marsha (David) Hindy of Pt. Pleasant, WV; two sons, Carl (Kay) Beaver and Larry (Kim) Beaver, both of Gallipolis; 19 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; two brothers, J.J. McGuire of Gallipolis and Jimmie Dale (Inez) McGuire, of Crown City; one sister, Eleanor Shelton of Grove City, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rudy, two grandchildren – Ronnie Kingery Jr. and Regina Kingery Johnson, three brothers Carl, Willis Thomas and Paul David McGuire, sister Ruth Murray, stepbrother Everett McGuire, and stepsister Violet Stumbo. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Leland Allman officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 6-8 p.m.
